Program Outline

The program consists of nine courses for a total of 36 credits and can be completed in one-and-a-half years. You focus on only one course at a time by taking two six week courses per semester. This course delivery method is designed for working professionals to make the most efficient use of your time, and to maximize your learning experience. The program allows you to combine a foundation in the liberal arts with disciplinary and interdisciplinary concentrations in fields related to criminal justice. You will study a core of courses in the history, philosophy, politics, and social consequences of the American Criminal Justice System.

This degree program allows you to complete your coursework, interact with instructors and other learners through Boston University’s unique distance learning format. The best part is that it is available whenever it is convenient for you. Help desk is available to answer any technical questions you may have 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Upon successful completion of the program, you will receive your Master Degree in Criminal Justice.

STUDENT TESTIMONIAL
"I wanted to let you know again that this was one of the best classes. The way it was structured allowed for me to live somewhat of a normal life beyond work. I did not feel pressured to complete an assignment every day and I was able to get ahead if I wanted to take a little extra time off.

I hope that you pass along all my praises to the instructor and the facilitator. I hope that most if not all of the future classes are structured this way. It makes the learning experience so much more enjoyable.

I had my doubts about staying in the program after all the time I had to devote to school work after the first class (statistics). After this class, I have no doubts at all. I really enjoy this program. Thank you again."
